After The Fire

“After The Fire” was created for a public gathering of art lovers, in celebration of the end of the recent horrific blazes, and the rebuilding of normalcy in our beautiful Sonoma County community. The gallery will be partially rehung with several mini shows including a Pop Up of poignant fire imagery by photographer Penny Wolin. We will also show a selection of favorite Dia de los Muertos material as well as art by selected immigrant populations and artists from other parts of the world.

Calabi Gallery will be donating 10% of all sales for the duration of this show to the Sonoma County UndocuFund – providing direct funding and assistance to undocumented victims of the Northern California fires. * Our hearts are with all those in our community who been affected and suffered losses from the devastating firestorm. Of the available Northern California fire relief funds that we are aware of, we feel that UndocuFund is helping the people who are most at risk and most in need, who have no other support system available. The undocumented immigrants living and working in Sonoma County do not qualify for assistance from FEMA, and their lack of immigration status, limited English proficiency, and fear of immigration enforcement also greatly impedes their access to disaster-relief services, even when they are eligible. By providing direct funding and assistance, UndocuFund will ensure that undocumented immigrants and their families in Sonoma County impeded by the fires will have the support and resources they need to recover and rebuild. *

We will get through this together. We Are Sonoma County Strong.

An Opening Reception was held Saturday, November 4th from 4-7pm. The exhibition runs November 4th– November 25th, 2017 >>> NOW EXTENDED THROUGH THE END OF THE YEAR until January 6th, 2018 <<<
