“The Border Crossed Us!” by Emmanuel Catarino Montoya, 2016, Woodcut Prints mounted on foamcore board and Digitally Printed Images on Theatrical Scrim Panels, 10 x 10 x 18

As we once again enter election season, we are showing artist’s responses to social and political issues of importance to them, both past and present. Some of the works date back to the mid 19th century but remain frighteningly relevant today. Of course our contemporary artists offer fresh viewpoints on issues of today, as well as caricatures of some of the more questionable players.

An opening reception was held on Saturday, October 13th from 4-8pm. The exhibition will run October 13th– November 24th, 2018.

The contemporary artists include Hans Gustav Burkhardt, Benjamin Cañas, Catherine Daley, Pele de Lappe, Holly Downing, Molly Eckler, Karen Green, Gronk, Art Hazelwood, Iva Hladis, Tyler James Hoare, Evri Kwong, Michael McMillan, Emmanuel Catarino Montoya, Johanna Poethig, and Jim Spitzer.
