FOR THE LOVE OF ART, an artful and culinary love affair is making its 2nd annual rendezvous through downtown Petaluma on Sunday, January 22nd from 5-9pm.   With a theme of Alice in Wonderland, the passionate gallery tour winds its way through some of Petaluma’s most notable businesses and galleries, showcasing pointe shoe art pieces and ballet costumes in its annual fundraiser for Petaluma City Ballet.  Bring your appetite, for the mouthwatering culinary delights from some of the area’s best foodie hot spots will leave you craving more.  Another tasty treat to look forward to is a live performance by John Allair (who is best known for his work with Van Morrison) and a dance performance by the ballet school.

Participating Businesses and Galleries include: Art WithOut Labels, Calabi Gallery, Haus Fortuna, Pelican Art Gallery, Petaluma Arts Center, Riverfront Art Gallery, Viva Cocolat. Tickets for the event are $30/single, $50/double.  For more information or to purchase tickets, check out petalumacityballet.org.

Shuttle Vans on site help move guests from gallery to gallery. Gallery tours begin at 5PM, Petaluma City Ballet dancers perform 8PM, John Allair from 7-9PM. Proceeds from the event directly benefit Petaluma City Ballet. Point shoes art pieces and ballet costumes will be on display in selected downtown locations beginning late December 2011 through January 2012.
