Michele Pollman Ferandell was born in 1943. She studied at the University of Arizona in Tucson from 1961-65 where she received her BFA in printmaking. Ferandell continued her education at the Cleveland Institute of Art from 1965-67, and San Francisco State University from 1970-72 where she received her MA in education.

Ferandell is a member of the California Society of Printmakers, and has exhibited in solo and group shows throughout the United States. Her work can be found in collections across the country, and has been included in a number of publications. Ferandell is currently a watercolor instructor at the Santa Rosa Junior College Program for Older Adults, teaching at public and private locations throughout Sonoma County.
